Reef response rate (live)0% · 13 leads, 20 comments

Built 14 Sep 2026 from live Calendar, Gmail and Meta Business Suite. Reef’s weekly plan reset overnight with none of the eight tasks done — the new week reads 0 of 8 with six days to run (one ad, nine Instagram stories, four Facebook posts), so last week was a clean miss. Nothing has moved on money: the Habstrakt $800 is still declined with no retry notice yet, September stays $3,200 invoiced, $1,000 in, and Gmail has taken no client mail at all since the PayPal notice on 12 Sep — no prospect replies, no bounces, nothing new sent since SH Brewing on 10 Sep. Read live off Business Suite this morning: the 28-day window to 12 Sep at 533.0K views ▲61.3%, 239.7K viewers and 1.4K follows, the prawn reel still climbing to 26,872, the 9 Sep carousel at 1,681, and a queue at 20 comments and 8 messages on a 0% response rate. Chrome’s own channels read cleanly too — Instagram 212 followers and 0 posts, TikTok 30 followers and 72 likes. Not read this morning: Reef’s Instagram analytics and Chrome’s Facebook page, which keep their old dates — and the Linux sandbox is down a fifth day, so the phone copy could not be pushed.

No new replies and no bounces. Every name here was checked against Gmail this morning and no client or prospect mail has arrived since the PayPal notice on 12 Sep — only newsletters — so nothing has come back. Pier 88 remains an auto-reply only, which does not count, and it is now fourteen days out with the nudge overdue. Nothing new has been sent since SH Brewing on 10 Sep, so no rows join. Mexicali and Warehouse 25 both hit day 7 today — that is the bump line. Matroda stays off this list: they replied on 9 Sep and it is a live thread, now five days on you.

Matroda got its first bump at day 53 and the CEO replied inside 36 hours. Six proposals are still unbumped.
“1,681 vs 26,872 — same account, same fortnight”
A controlled format comparison you actually ran. Instagram carousels lead reels on engagement rate in 2026 — but not on reach.
“Post from your face, not your logo”
LinkedIn personal profiles run 4–6% engagement against a company page’s 2–3%, and draw about 8× the engagement on identical content.

A clear diary and a plan that just reset — use it. In order: message Habstrakt about the declined eCheque and offer a bank transfer, bump Mexicali and Warehouse 25 while they are exactly on day 7, then queue Reef’s nine stories and four posts in one sitting. Cap the Wednesday recurrence before it fires at 5:00am, answer the 20-comment queue starting with aus.fusion, and book the occasion pegs before Friday.

Sign 1 new client 6 live names — two hit day 7 today
Nothing signed since Julian on 13 Jul, but the pipeline is the busiest it has been: Matroda replied on 9 Sep asking for past works and is a live negotiation rather than a chase, and Mexicali and Warehouse 25 both hit the day-7 bump line today, with Fat Dumpling and SH Brewing Co a few days behind. Sammy McGlashan’s camera-list question is twelve days unanswered across a group programming seven festival brands, Pier 88 is at fourteen days on an auto-reply only with its nudge now overdue, and Antoniette at JOJ Finance is at twenty-two with still no covering note. Six older proposals remain unbumped.
Release Chrome v1
The $1,800.02 Leif Oh Leif invoice for graphic design and website work has been paid, so v1 is funded and unshipped. There is still no website or deep-work block anywhere on the calendar between now and 15 Oct — and today is completely clear on both calendars, which makes it the best chance this week to book the recurrence and start. The Brand Bible is the other standing piece.
Invest 15% of income
Half of what landed has still not landed. Reef’s $1,000 was paid on 8 Sep, but Habstrakt’s $800 eCheque was declined by the sender’s bank on 12 Sep and PayPal has not yet retried — so the month’s confirmed cash is $1,000, of which $150 is the 15% line and $300 the tax buffer, and none of it has moved. Confirm whether the 15% ($300) went across on the 11 Aug payday alongside the $600 tax split, then do both splits on the $1,000 today rather than waiting on a payment that may take another fortnight.
Get 100,000 views on Chrome Biggest stretch
Chrome’s TikTok read cleanly again this morning: 30 followers, 17 following, 72 likes, confirmed live on 14 Sep — though the per-video breakdown (3,652 lifetime views across four videos) still carries its 4 Sep date. Instagram read live too: 0 posts ever on 212 followers, down one on yesterday. For scale, Reef’s Facebook did 533.0K views in the 28 days to 12 Sep — the number is reachable on a fed account, not a dormant one. The post is still sitting there unused: a client page whose biggest day ever, 48,393 views and 238 follows, was a day nothing was published.

Completed

Untick anything here and it goes straight back to Active. Use ✕ to drop a goal entirely; a Restore button appears on the card if you want it back.

August closed and none of the five landed. $2,000 confirmed against $4,500 booked, zero invoices sent in thirty-one days — so $2,000 of retainer and $500 of show-shoot work can no longer be billed to it. Roughly $2,317 went out, leaving the month about $317 down. The commission goal has been retired rather than missed: the profit share ended on 7 Sep, so July’s $378 stands as history. These are August targets on a September board — reset them today.

Concentration risk cleared. Julian and Reef are both recurring retainers — MRR is $4,000/mo and no client is more than half of it. Julian moved to content creation only on 7 Sep, so Chrome no longer runs his social; the retainer is unchanged and his profit share ended the same day. Next focus is recurring client #3. Matroda replied on 9 Sep and is waiting on real case studies, and Sammy’s camera-list question is twelve days open across a group programming seven festival brands. Pier 88 is at fourteen days, JOJ at twenty-two, and Mexicali and Warehouse 25 both hit day 7 today. Freelance is the line that moved backwards: Habstrakt’s $800 eCheque was declined on 12 Sep and has not been retried, so both one-offs from the 8 Sep run — Habstrakt and What So Not’s $400 — are still unpaid.

Read live this morning, 14 Sep. Reef’s Facebook, 28 days 16 Aug – 12 Sep: views 533.0K (▲61.3%), viewers 239.7K (▲56.7%), content interactions 2.4K (▲954.6%), link clicks 161 (▲8.8%), visits 16.7K (▲1.1K%), follows 1.4K (▲3.9K%). Viewers, interactions, visits and follows all rose again on yesterday’s read while the view headline eased as the window rolled. The daily series reads 6 Sep 43,446 views / 251 follows, 7 Sep 48,393 / 238, 8 Sep 26,220 / 114, 9 Sep 15,782 / 85, 10 Sep 8,796 / 79, 11 Sep 14,760 / 112, 12 Sep 13,772 / 108 — so 7 September is still the biggest day the page has ever had, the tail bottomed on 10 Sep and has held around 14K since. Meta now reports 18,084 page visits last month. Post level: the Mooloolaba prawn reel (1 Sep) is at 26,872 views, 19,882 reach, 17,695 viewers, 287 interactions and 256 likes — still climbing thirteen days on and the best post the page has ever had; the Riverfire reel (3 Sep) at 7,781 views, 3,720 reach, 101 interactions; the salmon-at-cost reel (7 Sep) at 7,730 views, 5,886 reach, 107 interactions; the matcha reel (2 Sep) at 2,959. The carousel is the control: “Sushi bar or seafood grill”, posted Wed 9 Sep 6:01pm, has managed 1,681 views, 703 reach and 12 interactions in five days. Stories run 130–421, and the only things published since 9 Sep are two stories, Sat 12 Sep (174 views) and Sun 13 Sep (155)nothing has reached the feed in five days. @reefgasworks reads 10k followers across 1,072 posts and Business Suite’s home shows Reef at FB 9.4K / IG 10K. The one number going the wrong way is the reply: messaging insights still record a 0% response rate and no response time at all against 13 conversations started in 28 days (▲225%), all organic, all new, none answered, with 0 orders and 0 leads, and the queue holds 20 new comments and 8 unread messages — aus.fusion’s “Can you share this with us?” is still the oldest live item at a fortnight. The weekly plan rolled over overnight with nothing done and now reads 0 of 8 with six days left (1 ad, 9 IG stories, 4 FB posts). Julian’s accounts are not read at all — he moved to content creation only on 7 Sep. What changed in the gaps: nothing — Business Suite’s Instagram insights toggle still does not respond to automated clicks, so Reef’s IG analytics are unrefreshed (the public follower count was read directly); Chrome’s Facebook page URL (89 followers carried from 22 Jul) and YouTube handle have still never been recorded; and the TikTok per-video counts still carry 4 Sep. Reef’s exact Facebook follower count is only exposed rounded, so that row keeps its 3 Aug exact value. Do not change the browser setup.

This table halved on 7 September because of a scope change, not a loss. Julian Woods is content creation only, so his accounts are no longer managed or reported here. What remains is what Chrome actually runs: Reef’s two accounts. Reef’s Instagram reads 10k followers across 1,072 posts, read live off the public profile — it has crossed the ten-thousand line, and Instagram no longer exposes an exact figure at that size. The exact Facebook count is still only rounded — Business Suite now displays 9.4K, up from 9.3K yesterday — so that row keeps its 3 Aug exact value. The number that matters for the retainer is on the Reports tab: 533.0K views, 1.4K follows and 18,084 page visits.

Every Reef bar was read live this morning. Window 16 Aug – 12 Sep: views 533.0K (▲61.3%), viewers 239.7K (▲56.7%), interactions 2.4K (▲954.6%), visits 16.7K (▲1.1K%), follows 1.4K (▲3.9K%). Four of the five headline metrics rose on yesterday’s read — only views eased, and only because two very large mid-August days have rolled out of the 28-day window. The reel tail bottomed and held: 251 follows on 6 Sep, 238 on 7 Sep on the biggest view-day the page has ever had (48,393), then 114, 85, 79 — and 112 and 108 on 11 and 12 Sep off no new feed post at all. Read the absolutes rather than the percentages; Meta’s comparison window rolls forward daily.

The format rule now has a clean control. The four reels in the window did 26,872, 7,781, 7,730 and 2,959 views. The one carousel — posted 9 Sep at 6:01pm, into the same audience, in the same fortnight — has done 1,681 views, 703 reach and 12 interactions. That is roughly 16× between the best reel and the carousel, on the same page. 2026 benchmarks put food and beverage brands at 3.0–3.5% engagement on TikTok and 2.0–2.5% on Instagram, and Socialinsider’s Q2 2026 read has carousels at 0.50% against reels at 0.48% across Instagram as a whole — so carousels win on interaction rate and lose badly on reach. Reach is not the problem here; the reply underneath it is — the whole 20-item comment queue is still unanswered.

Get Chrome's own channels moving

3 strategy moves + 8 shoot-ready ideas to break the dormancy across @chrome.agenzy (IG — 212 followers, 0 posts ever, read live 14 Sep), Chrome Agency (FB) and @chrome.agency (TikTok — 30 followers, 4 videos, 72 total likes, read live 14 Sep; per-video view counts from 4 Sep). Grounded in documented 2026 format performance plus Chrome's own real posting history.

1 · Batch it like a client

Chrome runs batch shoot days for clients, and there are two more booked — a REEF SHOOT on Fri 25 Sep 4:00–7:00pm and the submerge event Sat 26 Sep. Add Chrome's own account to those same days: 1 weekly hour for ideation, then film 2 weeks of content in one sitting. Zero new time slots needed — the cameras are already coming out. The catch is that the block carrying the instruction still does not exist: the 1 Sep DEEP WORK BLOCK listed "create 1 piece of content", was a one-off, and no block is scheduled between now and 15 Oct. Today's calendar is completely empty — make it recur now.

2 · Publish both formats weekly

2026 benchmarks tell food and beverage brands to aim for 3.0–3.5% engagement on TikTok and 2.0–2.5% on Instagram, with the sweet spot for short-form at 15–30 seconds for food and 30–90 more broadly. Socialinsider's Q2 2026 read has Instagram carousels at 0.50% and reels at 0.48% — engagement is now close to level, but reach is not, which is why the recommended mix is 60–70% reels and 20–30% carousels built for saves. Picking one format is the mistake: ship both weekly. Reef's own fortnight is the proof — four reels from 2,959 to 26,872 views, and one carousel at 1,681.

3 · Post from Josh, not the page

2026 LinkedIn data puts a good engagement rate at 4–6% for personal profiles against 2–3% for company pages, with identical content drawing roughly 8× the engagement from an individual profile — personal profiles beat pages by 63% on average engagement rate and 237% on comments per post. Native document posts lead every format at about 7%, and individual creators see the strongest results at 3–5 posts a week. The posts that beat sector average are case studies, before/after creative comparisons and behind-the-scenes work — and you now have all three: a client page whose biggest day ever produced 238 follows off a post published six days earlier, a reel-versus-carousel test at 26,872 against 1,681, and a bump that reached a CEO in fourteen minutes and still lost the job. Lead with the person, not the logo; 80/20 personal to page.

Gear, direction, setup, the 10pm pack-down. Proven format for service businesses, and all of the footage already exists.

Turn Reef's record weekend into a carousel with the numbers read live on 14 Sep: 6 Sep did 43,446 views, 2,437 page visits and 251 follows; 7 Sep did 48,393 views, 3,080 visits and 238 follows against a page averaging about one follow a day beforehand, taking the month to 533.0K views ▲61.3% and 1.4K follows. Then show the honest ending: 8, 9 and 10 Sep fell back to 26,220, 15,782 and 8,796 as the tail ran out — before settling around 14K a day with no new feed post at all.

Day in the life of a 1-person agency

Josh narrating a real day — including the honest version: a whole month closed with zero invoices sent, a recurring post that has published before dawn four times, a thirteen-hour booking worked with no rate agreed, a payment that arrived and then un-arrived when the cheque bounced, and a proposal bumped on day 55 that reached a CEO in fourteen minutes and still lost, because the job had been booked months earlier. 2026 LinkedIn data has failed-experiment stories and campaign breakdowns as the best-performing content for agencies. Founder-led, almost no production.

Reel / Carousel · IG#5
"3 things restaurants get wrong on Instagram"

Educational hot-take, hospitality-specific — and you have a live first-hand example: a page doing 533.0K views a month with a 0% response rate against 13 people who started a conversation this month, a 20-comment queue, and three food pages offering free distribution with none of the requests answered.

Reel · IG#6
"Four reels. One carousel. 16× apart."

The strongest piece of content on this list, because it is a controlled comparison from one account inside one fortnight. Same page, same audience: Mooloolaba prawns 26,872 views, Riverfire pre-order 7,781, salmon-at-cost 7,730, matcha 2,959 — against the "sushi bar or seafood grill" carousel at 1,681 views, 703 reach and 12 interactions. Then name the three variables the winners share — named specific thing, time peg, reason to act now. Uses your own Reef numbers from the 14 Sep Business Suite pull, against 2026 food and beverage benchmarks of 3.0–3.5% on TikTok and 2.0–2.5% on Instagram.

Repeat the branding hot-take format

"If you think X is just Y, you already lost" — same structure as Chrome's best-ever post (1,094 views, per-video counts last read 4 Sep). @chrome.agency has 4 posts sitting idle since May 2025 averaging 913 views each on a 30-follower base; this is the next one to publish, not a first launch. The profile read cleanly again this morning, so the account is reachable — the only thing missing is a post.

Short quote from Reef once the retainer is formalised in writing. Low-effort trust signal for prospects currently sitting at "proposal sent."

Chrome’s own TikTok is the proof and the problem. Four videos have done 3,652 views — 913 each on a thirty-follower base, roughly thirty times the audience. The best is a founder-voice branding hot-take at 1,094. TikTok will distribute this content to strangers; nothing has been given to it since May 2025. Profile figures were read live on 14 Sep — 30 followers, 17 following, 72 likes — while per-video counts still carry 4 Sep. View the post ↗

2026 benchmarks used across this tab: food & beverage engagement targets of 3.0–3.5% on TikTok and 2.0–2.5% on Instagram; Socialinsider Q2 2026 Instagram engagement of 0.50% carousels / 0.48% reels / 0.33% images, platform average 0.45%; recommended mix 60–70% reels, 20–30% carousels; food short-form sweet spot 15–30s; LinkedIn personal profiles 4–6% vs pages 2–3%, roughly the engagement on identical content, +63% engagement rate and +237% comments; documents ~7%; creators strongest at 3–5 posts a week. All vendor-published aggregates, not Chrome’s measured rates — treat the ranking as reliable and the numbers as directional.

Reef’s shelf is still empty. The last feed post was the “sushi bar or seafood grill” carousel at 6:01pm on Wed 9 Sep, which has managed 1,681 views and 12 interactions in five days; the only things published since are two stories, Sat 12 Sep (174 views) and Sun 13 Sep (155). From here the calendar holds nothing bespoke until the shoot on Fri 25 Sep — only the two broken recurrences, the next of which lands wrong at 5:00am on Wed 16 Sep. 7 September remains the biggest day the page has ever had at 48,393 views and 238 follows, carried by a reel posted six days earlier — and the days after fell to 26,220, 15,782 and 8,796 before settling at 14,760 and 13,772. That is what an empty calendar looks like on the graph. Julian has come off this chart — content creation only from 7 Sep.

The one confirmed payment of the month is still reversed. PayPal’s receipt of 10 Sep for $800.00 AUD from Habstrakt was an eCheque, and on 12 Sep at 2:19pm PayPal wrote again on the same transaction (1NG30705RV161292N) to say it was declined by the sender’s bank. No retry notice has arrived in the two days since. PayPal retries automatically in about three business days — roughly Wed 16 Sep — then takes a further 4–7 days to clear, so treat this as unpaid for at least a fortnight. That keeps the line at booked rather than confirmed and leaves Reef’s $1,000 as the only money actually in this month, on your word rather than a document. Julian’s is now five days overdue. Ask Habstrakt for a bank transfer rather than waiting on the retry.

Murad’s 28 Jul message confirms the invoice reached their accounting team, so the money is queued behind the audio complaint rather than refused. Settling it closes the last open line in the FY’s only complete month.

October onward is retainer projection only — see the month-by-month table further down this tab.

Julian’s retainer — what to watch today
The calendar carries a fortnightly “Julian invoice” all-day event on Mondays — 24 Aug, 7 Sep, 21 Sep, 5 Oct. The 24 Aug one passed with no invoice leaving the account all month. The 7 Sep one was invoiced a day late, on Tue 8 Sep, alongside Reef, Habstrakt and What So Not — four invoices in a single day after forty with none. Payment on it fell due on 9 Sep and is now five days overdue, and the one-off that did appear to pay — Habstrakt’s $800 — bounced on 12 Sep and has not been retried, so Reef is the only line in the month that has actually settled. None of it appears in Gmail, so the whole sequence rests on your word rather than a document; filing copies would let this board see them by itself. The thing still unresolved is scope, not billing: thirty-one hours have been captured and no cuts delivered, across five shoots booked since 21 Aug with no edit block against any of them. The 30% MDGA profit share ended 7 Sep, so this $1,000 a fortnight is now the whole of the Julian relationship — agree cuts per fortnight, turnaround and what counts as delivered before the 21 Sep invoice.
Where these figures come from
Three figures come from Joshua rather than mail, and the one document the month had has now been contradicted. Habstrakt $800 was confirmed by a PayPal receipt of 10 Sep (transaction 1NG30705RV161292N) — but a second PayPal notice on 12 Sep, on the same transaction, says the eCheque was declined by the sender’s bank, so the line reverts to booked; no retry notice has arrived since. Julian $1,000 (five days overdue) and What So Not $400 were invoiced on 8 Sep and remain unpaid, so both stay booked not confirmed; Reef’s $1,000 was invoiced the same day and has been paid, confirmed by Joshua rather than by mail. Shivers $650 and the $500 show shoot are confirmed unpaid. The month therefore reads $3,200 invoiced and $1,000 received on day fourteen. The next window is Mon 21 Sep, in the middle of the Melbourne trip. Outstanding is now $4,350 plus HABBY, which still has no number. A full label-by-label Gmail sweep this morning found no other invoice, receipt, payment or bill payable by Chrome, and no bounce in 50 days.

The Gross column is what each engagement generated; To Chrome is what reaches you. They differ on one line only — MDGA, where $882 of the $1,260 pool stays with the venture and $378 comes across at your 30%. Retainers and freelance pass through whole. The Shivers line is unchanged in value but still unresolved: the client rejected the audio on 4 Aug, you asked for detail the same morning, and forty-one days later no answer has come back — re-confirmed against the full thread this morning, with no reply and no auto-reply. Murad’s message of 28 Jul confirms the invoice was already forwarded to their accounting team — the money is queued, the audio is what is blocking it. If it were written off entirely, July drops to $4,378. The reason to settle it this week is unchanged and getting older: Triangle Group’s brand manager has asked, in writing, what multicam setup Chrome runs — and your one unresolved job is a multicam job with an open audio complaint on it.

Take-home uses the reconciled $366/mo spend and a 30% tax buffer. There is no commission line to add any more — the MDGA profit share ended 7 Sep, so these columns are the whole picture rather than an understatement. August stands closed at $4,500 booked, $2,000 confirmed, ~$2,317 out, about $317 down — a bookkeeping outcome, not a trading one. September is fourteen days in with $3,200 invoiced and $1,000 confirmed, and the next invoice window falls mid-Melbourne. The FY projection assumes both retainers run and excludes the unbilled $1,150 of earned work. Melbourne and the submerge event remain unpriced.

Leif Oh Leif — INV-0041, paid and closed
$1,800.02 — paid and closed. Xero invoice INV-0041 from Leif Oh Leif Distribution ($1,636.38 + $163.64 GST — graphic design and website work) landed 27 Jul under BUSINESS RECEIPTS, was due Friday 31 July, ran twelve days overdue, and has now been settled (confirmed by Joshua, 12 Aug). It was the largest single liability Chrome carried and roughly five months of the entire software spend in one bill. It is not included in the monthly-spend or take-home figures below, which model recurring costs only — so August’s real cash outflow was roughly $2,317 rather than the $366 baseline. The $163.64 of GST on it remains a supplier-charged cost, not something Chrome reclaims while unregistered. No new Xero or Invoice 2 Go bill payable by Chrome has arrived since — re-checked this morning. Invoice link removed from this build — it granted access to anyone holding the page.

August final: $2,000 in, $4,500 booked, zero invoices issued. The 11 Aug payday landed and was split, with $600 to tax. Nothing came in after that — 24 Aug was invoice day and no invoice left the account all month. Roughly $2,317 went out including the settled Leif bill, leaving August about $317 down. The Sat 1 Aug show shoot is still unsent forty-four days on, so Chrome carries $1,150 of unbilled work into September — where fourteen days have passed, $3,200 has been invoiced and only $1,000 confirmed in.

The 30% profit-share arrangement with Julian ended on 7 Sep 2026 at Joshua’s direction. Julian is now a straight $1,000/fortnight retainer. July is the only month it ever settled, and that money was real, so it stays on the books as history.

MDGA — what closing the profit share changes
What ending it changes, and what it does not. Forward: nothing. The FY26–27 projection was always built on retainers plus known freelance, and the only commission inside it is July’s $378, which was earned and banked — so $54,728 needs no adjustment. The $5,000 commission goal has been retired rather than failed. Backward, one question is genuinely open: the August scalp figure was never recorded — it was due 31 Aug and nothing was ever supplied. Confirm with Julian whether an August share was owed before the arrangement closed, because if it was, it is money that has quietly gone with it — and you are chasing him for the overdue $1,000 anyway, so ask in the same message. What the $1,000/fortnight now buys is finished cuts from the thirty-one-hour backlog, and that is the only thing left to measure the retainer against.

Normal cycle: both retainers invoiced Monday, paid Wednesday. That broke on 24 Aug and is still only half repaired — the 8 Sep run went out a day late, Reef paid, and Julian’s is now five days past its Wednesday. Habstrakt was the good news and has stopped being it: a one-off invoiced on 8 Sep appeared to pay inside two days, but the PayPal receipt was for an eCheque that the sender’s bank declined on 12 Sep. A receipt is not cleared funds — worth remembering the next time one arrives. The next scheduled window, Mon 21 Sep, is the day you land back from Melbourne, so write those invoices before you fly. Invoice 2 Go leaves no Gmail trace, so this board can only ever confirm a send’s absence from Sent Mail, not its presence. Four items remain unpriced: HABBY (13 hrs worked), the TASTE CLUB SHOW worked on Sat 12 Sep, the submerge event, and Melbourne. Car insurance has now charged on the 23rd three months running, so monthly is the working assumption.

Budgeting — what to set aside

When a payment lands, move this much

30% is the buffer rate already used across this dashboard. Move it to a separate account the day the money clears — what's in the "usable" column is what the business actually has.

No GST component is being withheld — Chrome isn't registered yet, so every dollar invoiced is revenue, not part-tax. That changes the day you cross $75,000. Note that suppliers are charging you GST: the Leif Oh Leif bill carries $163.64 of it and Claude's A$34.00 includes $3.09, confirmed on receipt #2600-5879-9507.

What the bill actually looks like

Sole trader income is taxed as personal income. Modelled on FY26–27 projected revenue of $54,728 less $3,078 of deductible software.

The blended rate is low because the first $18,200 is tax-free and the next $26,800 is only 15c. But every additional dollar you earn above $45,000 taxable costs 32c — so as Chrome grows, 30% stops being generous and starts being about right. Keeping the rule at 30% now means the buffer scales without you having to re-do the maths. Actual set-aside to date is $600, moved on 11 Aug and unchanged since — $300 is now owed to the buffer from the $1,000 that has landed this month.

How this tax estimate was built
Estimate, not an assessment. These figures are arithmetic on the published ATO brackets — they don't account for a HECS/HELP debt, the small business income tax offset, super contributions, PAYG instalments once the ATO puts you on them, car/home-office/equipment deductions you haven't logged here, or any other income you earn outside Chrome. Any one of those moves the number materially. Confirm the real position with your accountant before you rely on it — I'm not a tax agent.

The tracker’s $164/mo line understates real spend by $91.47/mo$1,098/yr — because Metricool, Adobe and ChatGPT were never added. Claude bills A$34.00, not $35 (receipt #2600-5879-9507), so software is $255.47 and all-in $365.47; fix both the tracker and the calendar. No outstanding failed subscription payment: the 30 Aug Anthropic decline settled on 31 Aug and the 2 Sep Workspace charge cleared. The only failed payment on the board is inbound — Habstrakt’s eCheque, declined 12 Sep. Nothing charges today; ChatGPT’s $29.99 and the gym both go tomorrow. The gym ($38, Tuesdays) and fitness app ($30, 3rd) are on the calendar but in neither list. Not included: the paid Leif bill, Melbourne, the submerge event, the TASTE CLUB SHOW, or HABBY.

These use the reconciled $365 all-in spend, so "left to draw" runs $201 lower than the $2,636 take-home tile at the top of this tab — that tile is still on the tracker's $164 expense line. Car insurance has now charged on the 23rd two months running with a third booked, so the monthly assumption is close to settled; get the three missing subs into the sheet and I'll align both. Neither column carries the $1,800.02 Leif one-off — now paid — and both still count the disputed Shivers $650. Neither column describes August, which had only one payday and no second invoice at all — nor September, which is fourteen days in with $3,200 invoiced, $1,000 confirmed, one retainer five days overdue and one payment reversed.

FY26–27 progress

14 Sep 2026 — 76 of 365 days into the FY (20.8%). Confirmed cash is still where last week left it. Habstrakt’s $800 was declined by the sender’s bank on 12 Sep and has not been retried, so confirmed cash stands at $5,378 (9.8%) against 20.8% of the year gone. Booked revenue is unchanged at $8,228 — July’s $5,028 plus September’s four invoices, all sent on 8 Sep: Reef $1,000, Julian $1,000, Habstrakt $800 and What So Not $400 — which is 15.0%. Only one of the four has paid; Julian’s is five days overdue, What So Not’s is unpaid and Habstrakt’s has bounced, so three remain booked, not confirmed. The evidence gap is unchanged: the one September document Gmail held was the Habstrakt receipt, and a second PayPal notice has contradicted it — every other line rests on your word alone. Still unbilled: the four show shoots at $500, forty-four days on, and HABBY’s thirteen hours with no rate. The Shivers $650 is disputed and forty-one days unanswered.

Retainer columns model the current $1,000/fortnight × 2 arrangement (26 paydays inside the FY). August finished with one payday — the 24 Aug run was never sent and the month has closed, so that $4,000 is booked but permanently unbilled to it. September broke that pattern and then stalled: $3,200 invoiced, but only $1,000 confirmed in, with the next window on 21 Sep, mid-Melbourne. December has no upside left now Subtronics is gone; Matroda replied on 9 Sep and the November tour is still ahead of its booking window. Commission is closed — July’s $378 is the only one this table will ever carry. Of September’s freelance $1,200, none is confirmed: Habstrakt’s $800 bounced on 12 Sep and What So Not’s $400 is unpaid.

GST — where you sit against the $75,000 threshold
GST: FY26–27 is projected at ~$54,728 against the $75,000/yr registration threshold — already 73% of the way there on retainers + known freelance, including the Habstrakt $800 and the What So Not $400, neither of which has cleared. There is no commission line behind it any more — the MDGA profit share ended on 7 Sep — so the only things that move this number now are new freelance jobs and a rate change. A priced multicam tour would move it materially — Subtronics is gone, but Matroda replied on 9 Sep and Triangle Group have asked for your camera list — so settle the GST question before you quote either. Worth deciding whether retainers are inclusive or +10% before you cross the threshold. Tax set-aside is a cash buffer, not the actual bill.

Three live arguments for putting scope in writing. Shivers: no acceptance clause, an audio complaint on 4 Aug, $650 unpaid forty-one days later with the money sitting in their accounting team. Billing: both invoice events sat on the calendar on 24 Aug and neither was raised; the 8 Sep run did go out, but only one of the four has actually settled — one is overdue, one unpaid and one bounced. HABBY: thirteen hours worked on 5 Sep with no rate, scope or paperwork — and the TASTE CLUB SHOW on 12 Sep was worked the same way, so that is now two jobs delivered with nothing on file. Julian’s scope changed on 7 Sep, is still verbal, and his payment is now five days late, which makes it the most urgent of the three.

Rebuild the REEF content calendar
It worked, and then it ran out. The last feed post was the “sushi bar or seafood grill” carousel at 6:01pm on Wed 9 Sep, and the calendar holds nothing bespoke until the REEF SHOOT on Fri 25 Sep 4:00–7:00pm — a fortnight carrying only the two mis-scheduled promo recurrences. The fortnight of consistent posting produced the best month the page has ever had: 533.0K views up 61.3%, 1.4K follows, one reel at 26,872 views and a second taking 10 shares. 7 September was the single biggest day — 48,393 views, 3,080 visits, 238 follows — carried by a reel posted six days earlier. And then it fell: 26,220, 15,782 and 8,796 as the tail ran out, before settling at 14,760 and 13,772. That is the argument for booking the pegs today, before Melbourne
Get Reef's Instagram handle on file
Done 12 Aug. @reefgasworks read live 14 Sep: 10k followers across 1,072 posts — it has crossed the ten-thousand line and Instagram no longer shows an exact number. Julian’s handle is no longer tracked here — he moved to content creation only on 7 Sep
Send the four show-shoot invoices — and get Habstrakt paid another way
Only one of the four 8 Sep invoices has settled: Reef’s $1,000 on 8 Sep. Habstrakt’s $800 eCheque was declined by the sender’s bank on 12 Sep and has not been retried, Julian’s $1,000 is five days overdue and What So Not’s $400 is out. The four show-shoot invoices are 44 days late and HABBY’s thirteen hours still have no rate, so $500 of earned work remains unbilled on top of two unpriced jobs. Write them today. Attach Reef’s month to Reef’s next invoice: 533.0K views up 61.3%, 1.4K follows, 18,084 page visits, and a biggest-day-ever of 48,393.
Fix the two broken Reef recurrences
Both survive, and one fires before dawn on Wednesday. The $25 Wednesday dinner has gone out pre-dawn four times — 19 Aug, 26 Aug, 2 Sep and 9 Sep — and next fires at 5:00am on Wed 16 Sep. The $20 Monday platter still lands on Sundays: it published on Sun 30 Aug, its 6 Sep instance sat on Fathers Day, it fired again last night, and the next is Sun 20 Sep at 6:00pm, with every instance to 11 Oct on a Sunday. Two minutes together, and doing both today closes the fault permanently — and you leave for Melbourne on Friday.
Formalise Reef & Julian retainers in writing
Both retainers on verbal arrangements — paper the terms, with a delivery-acceptance clause and a fixed billing date. The 30% MDGA commission has been ended as of 7 Sep, so Julian is now a straight retainer and that is the only thing left to paper — and his payment being five days late is the argument, not an aside. Add HABBY, the TASTE CLUB SHOW and the submerge event to the same sitting — thirteen hours worked on Sat 5 Sep with nothing agreed, one hour worked on Sat 12 Sep on the same footing, and five and a half on Sat 26 Sep. The Subtronics tour has come off this list because it closed, which is its own argument: an unpapered opportunity with no follow-up schedule is one you lose without ever hearing about it.
Reconcile subscriptions
Metricool / Adobe / ChatGPT on calendar but not in tracker's $164 line — and the gym and fitness app are in neither. Claude is confirmed at A$34.00, not the $35 on the tracker and calendar (receipt #2600-5879-9507). There is no outstanding failed subscription payment — the 30 Aug failure resolved on 31 Aug and the 2 Sep Workspace charge cleared. The one failed payment on the books is inbound: Habstrakt’s eCheque, declined 12 Sep. Nothing charges today; ChatGPT’s $29.99 and the gym both go tomorrow. Four cost commitments are in no figure at all — Melbourne 18–21 Sep, the TASTE CLUB SHOW on 12 Sep, the submerge event on Sat 26 Sep, and HABBY, which sits on the unbilled-receivable list with no number
Restore the 8:00am Daily Run Sheet recurrence
Missing from the calendar forty mornings running; a direct search returns nothing, so the recurrence has lapsed rather than been skipped. The DEEP WORK BLOCK — BUSINESS SCALING created for 8:30–10:00am on 1 Sep was a one-off, and a read this morning confirms none is scheduled to 15 Oct. Today the calendar is completely empty, which makes it the cheapest chance this week to book it — and the evidence for it is mixed but real: the one day the block existed produced three outbound emails and a CEO reply in fourteen minutes, and outreach has happened without it too, just not reliably. Book it recurring this morning.

The outbound run stopped four days ago. Between 7 and 10 September five things went out — the Matroda bump, cold opens to Mexicali and Warehouse 25, a Fat Dumpling bump, and SH Brewing Co at 9:38am on 10 Sep. Nothing has gone out since. All five delivered clean; no mailer-daemon anywhere in fifty days. The day-7 follow-ups have arrived: Mexicali and Warehouse 25 fall due today, Fat Dumpling tomorrow, Tue 15 Sep, SH Brewing Co Thu 17 Sep — and every one of those lands before you fly to Melbourne on Friday. Four of the five went to shared info@ inboxes, which is the standing weakness.
Matroda is the live one, and the ball is still in your court. The 16 Jul proposal to matic@2night-global.co.uk was bumped on 7 Sep at day 53. Mac Rogan, 2NIGHT’s CEO, replied at 7:12am on 9 Sep“Please send your past works. Links only.” — with Christine and Ivan cc’d. Two minutes later he got a single Instagram profile link and nothing since. That is five days of silence on a warm thread with three people watching. Send two or three named tour case studies with real numbers today: what you shot, for whom, and what it did. The November tour is still ahead of its booking window — which is exactly what Subtronics no longer was.
The Subtronics episode is finished, and the lesson is sharper than the win would have been. The proposal went to simon@trianglegroup.au on 8 Jul and sat unanswered. At 2:07pm on Tue 1 Sepfifty-five days later — one line went out. Simon Coyle, Triangle Group’s CEO, replied at 2:21pm — fourteen minutes — and cc’d Sammy McGlashan, who manages all their videography. Sammy answered at 4:57pm the next day: "We locked in the Subtronics media team a few months ago sorry boss." The bump worked perfectly; it simply arrived after the decision. Bump at day 7, not day 55. What survives is worth having: Sammy asked "What multi-cam setup are you running in terms of the cameras so I know for future" — from the man who books video across Touch Bass, Core, S2O, Rampage, Collective Minds, Pitch Control and Pitch Dark. That question is now twelve days old and still unanswered. Action: answer it today with a camera list and a per-show rate.
Pier 88 is the benchmark for a first send — and its nudge is now four days past due. Sent 1:18pm Mon 31 Aug to info@pier88.com.au, subject "Your best 90 minutes is a photo", with a PDF attached. Delivered clean, no bounce. It opens on a specific observation about their venue, quotes their own numbers back (8,700 followers, forty-eight followed back), names the gap, ties it to their commercial problem, makes one offer in one sentence, and closes on "Worth a reply?". Twenty-six seconds later an automated "Thanks for contacing us!" came back — a robot, not a human. The Triangle thread is the contrast: Simon replied in fourteen minutes because a named human read it. Action: find an owner or venue manager today and send the nudge, and apply the same to Mexicali, Warehouse 25 and SH Brewing Co, which also went to shared inboxes.
JOJ Finance Group is twelve days past the nudge line and still has no words in it. The 23 Aug 7:12pm send to antoniette@jojfinancegroup.com.au, subject "Marketing Launch Plan", delivered clean with no bounce — so unlike Freddie’s and Sunnyside this one genuinely arrived. But the body is a single Claude artifact link and nothing else: no greeting, no explanation, no ask, no price. And on 4 Sep at 3:02pm a long, free NDIS registration briefing went to her personal address and never mentioned the marketing plan she has been holding for twenty-two days. The relationship is warm; the proposal is wordless. An unexplained link from an unfamiliar sender is what a phishing email looks like. Reply on that NDIS thread today with two lines of context, one specific observation, one ask and a price, and re-attach the plan as a document.
Sunnyside needs a check. The only Sunnyside email in Sent Mail is marked "[TEST]" in the subject and went to jauwsh@gmail.com — that looks like your own address, not Sunnyside's actual contact (Ali). The real proposal may never have reached them. Still unsent as at 14 Sep.
Freddie's has the same problem, worse. All 3 send attempts missed: 16 Jun to freddiesnewstead@ and freddienewstead@freddiesplace.com.au both bounced (address not found), and the 6 Jul "final" send went to Joshwflicks@gmail.com — your own personal address. As far as Sent Mail shows, Freddie's has never actually received this proposal. Six emails have now delivered clean since 1 Sep with no mailer-daemon bounce anywhere in fifty days, so the mechanism plainly works — only the address is missing, and the pitch is already written.
Sancho's did land. The 13 Jul send to hello@sancho.com.au bounced (address not found), but a second copy went to reservations@sancho.com.au the same day and was delivered clean. That one is a genuine chase-up — it crossed 30 days thirty-three days ago and a nudge has still never gone out, which is exactly the position Subtronics was in before its answer arrived too late.

Sent 13 Jul · 63 days — delivered clean to reservations@ and never followed up once. Exactly Subtronics' position, and that one turned out to have been decided weeks earlier
Loaf Stafford — never bumped
Sent 15 Jul · 61 days — passed 30 on Fri 14 Aug with no nudge sent
Fat Dumpling — bumped 8 Sep
Sent 21 Jul, bumped 10:22am on 8 Sep after 49 days — delivered clean. Day-7 follow-up falls tomorrow, Tue 15 Sep
Taki Nulight — Red Light Mgmt
Sent 17 Mar · 181 days silent, two addresses, never bumped — the oldest row on the board. One note, then close it
Fix the send, then follow up
Freddie's — get Justine's real email & resend
3 attempts, 0 delivered to Freddie's
Sunnyside Sliced — confirm real send to Ali
Only copy found was a "[TEST]" sent to yourself
These two look "Sent" on paper but the evidence says otherwise — worth 5 minutes before assuming they're just ignoring you. Flagged at the last twenty-six refreshes and neither has moved. A dedicated mailer-daemon search this morning found no bounces in fifty days, because no send has been attempted. The excuse is gone: five cold sends were written and delivered clean between 7 and 10 September, so the sending works and the pitch is written. These two only need an address.

Half-done proposals

Unfinished drafts sitting in Gmail — rechecked 14 Sep, both still sitting exactly as they were.

Reef — "REEF Social Review and Growth Plan"
Draft to ryan@reefgasworks.com since 20 Jul (56 days), still cuts off mid-sentence ("here is a growth plan for reef. and some") — finish & send. The ending is now complete, peak, tail and all. The 28-day window to 12 Sep reads Facebook views 533.0K (▲61.3%), viewers 239.7K (▲56.7%), interactions 2.4K (▲954.6%), link clicks 161 (▲8.8%), visits 16.7K (▲1.1K%) and follows 1.4K (▲3.9K%); 7 September was the biggest day the page has ever had at 48,393 views, 3,080 visits and 238 follows, after 251 the day before; @reefgasworks has crossed 10k followers across 1,072 posts; the prawn reel is at 26,872 views and still climbing; and the 9 Sep carousel at 1,681 views is the control that proves the format rule. You have a record month, a clean reel-versus-carousel test, and the honest tail — 26,220, 15,782 and 8,796 as the calendar emptied, then 14,760 and 13,772.
Getter AU/NZ 2026–27 — reply to Henley Halem
Draft to hrh@halembiz.com since 14 Jun — 92 days, still just your signature block, no pitch. Long past the point where finishing it reads as responsive; either send something today or close it out.
4 more junk drafts sitting in Gmail (a Claude sign-in reply, an Invoice2Go stub, and two blank signature-only drafts from 8 Jul and 16 Jun) — worth a quick clean-up pass so they don't get mistaken for something waiting on you.

Mirrors the Content Engine scope; reusable per client. Nine lines earned the hard way: capture every social handle at kick-off; get a named contact, not a shared inbox (Pier 88 produced a robot in 26 seconds, a named CEO replied in fourteen minutes); set a follow-up date the day the proposal goes out; agree who answers comments and DMs and publish a price and address; cap every recurring calendar promo the day you create it; agree who signs off on food styling; put the billing date in writing; agree a rate before the day is booked — HABBY was worked for thirteen hours with none of it on file, and the TASTE CLUB SHOW on 12 Sep went the same way; and treat a payment receipt as a promise, not cash — Habstrakt's PayPal receipt of 10 Sep was an eCheque that bounced two days later.
